Shorten Your Facebook Fan Page URL
Some things in Facebook are buried or less than obvious. If you’ve created a Facebook Fan Page for your product or business take 30 seconds to get a memorable and simple URL.
By default your fan page address will look something like this one for our friends at Signature Home Comfort:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Signature-Home-Comfort-Plumbing-Heating-and-Air-Conditioning/321453010069
Nice, huh? No worries, though… just like for your own personal FB profile, you can create a short name for your page. The only requirement is that you have at least 25 fans.
To create a Facebook Fan Page Short URL
- Go to http://facebook.com/username
- Select the page you are wanting to apply the short name
- Enter the name and click Check Availability
If all goes well, that should be it. Now your Facebook link will look nice in your emails and business cards.
I WOULD LIKE TO SHORTEN MY FACEBOOK URL FOR THE BACK OF MY BUSINESS CARDS BUT WHEN I CLICK THE LINK ABOVE THE PAGE IS BLANK. I HAVE TRIED ON MULTIPLE COMPUTERS WITH NO LUCK

I double-checked to see if Facebook has moved this feature, but it still works for me. You might try it with https instead in case you are using the secure version of FB.
